Vivek Arora is Head of the IMF’s Office of Risk Management, which oversees the Fund’s enterprise risk management framework. He has held this position since 2017. Vivek’s previous positions include Deputy Director of the IMF’s Strategy, Policy & Review Department and extensive experience in country operations. He has served as the Fund’s senior resident representative in China, based in Beijing, and in South Africa, based in Pretoria. Vivek has a PhD in economics from Brown University and studied international finance at Harvard University; he has received certification in operational risk management.
