As a senior member in Microsoft’s Enterprise Risk Management team, Tom Easthope is currently responsible for driving the company’s ERM engagement focus on information and enterprise IT as well as continuity and response. Mr. Easthope also oversees Microsoft’s internal implementation of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and contributes to ERM’s risk framework methodology, enterprise aggregation and business risk engagement process in the Cloud and AI engineering division. Currently he is leading a RIMS’ Strategic Enterprise Risk initiative to update the RIMS maturity model. Mr. Easthope joined Microsoft in 2007 in the company’s Enterprise Business Continuity program.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Easthope founded and led two startup business endeavors which resulted in acquisitions by suppliers. In his first line management role, Mr. Easthope served as General Manager of a regional travel distribution company which tripled annual sales to $100 million over seven years.
Mr. Easthope earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from The George Washington University.
