As the Audit Liaison Officer for the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer in the Internal Control & Risk Management Division (ICRM), Rassii A. Elliott is the liaison to external auditing entities and ensures timely and appropriate responses to audits and reports of findings. Additionally, Rassii is responsible for the identification, assessment, and evaluation of risks; making appropriate recommendations for improved internal controls and procedures; and researching and recommending best practices where appropriate.
Rassii has more than a decade of Federal Government experience and joined the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in March 2019 from the Office of Intelligence & Analysis (OIA) at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a component of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. At TSA, Rassii served in several capacities from technology and operations to enterprise risk management and program management. In his role as a management and program analyst within OIA, Rassii supported the management and execution of TSA’s risk-based passenger screening program, TSA Pre®. Prior to his position in OIA, Rassii worked in the TSA Office of the Chief Risk Officer where he supported Enterprise Risk Management initiatives, including the marketing and branding of TSA Pre® and onboarding of low-risk populations.
Outside of HUD, Rassii enjoys volunteering is very active in his church and community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Showtime Music Foundation and is the halftime announcer for the Howard University “Showtime” Marching Band.
