Lori Giblin serves as the U.S. Corporation for National and Community Service’s (CNCS) Chief Risk Officer with responsibility over the agency’s five primary risk assessment programs comprising enterprise risk management, internal controls, improper payments compliance, grant risk assessment and a bespoke national service criminal history check program unique to CNCS. Ms. Giblin joined CNCS in April, 2016 bringing with her 20 years of federal and state government experience in community development, internal assessment, and programmatic operations. Her Federal experience includes work in the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Empowerment Zone Initiative, the General Services Administration’s Office of Community Planning, and the Department of Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. Just prior to joining CNCS, she served as a Managing Director at the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation where she helped establish and enhance the agency’s internal assessment, enterprise risk management, and strategic planning functions. Ms. Giblin earned her master’s degree in public administration from Arizona State University, is a member of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and serves on the steering committee of the Association of Federal Enterprise Risk Management’s (AFERM) Small Agency Community of Practice.
