Kristina Narvaez is the Supplier Risk & Business Continuity Manager in the Supply Chain Organization at Intermountain Healthcare. She was hired in July 2020 to help design and implement a third-party supplier risk management program for Intermountain Healthcare. She graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Risk Management and then she received her MBA from Westminster College with two advanced certificates in finance and information systems. She is a two-time Spencer Education Foundation graduate scholar from Risk and Insurance Management Society. She owns and operates both ERM Strategies, LLC, which is an Enterprise Risk Management research and consulting firm, and is a partner in Strategic Risk Insights, LLC which is an strategic risk management consulting firm. Kristina teaches two Enterprise Risk Management courses for UCLA Extension’s Enterprise Risk Management certification program: Designing and Implementing an Enterprise Risk Management Program and Advanced Tools and Techniques in Enterprise Risk Management. She has published two books on Enterprise Risk Management: Success Stories: Public Entities Adopt ERM Best Practices published in 2011 by Public Entity Research Institute and Implementing Enterprise Risk Management: Case Studies and Best Practices published by Wiley and Sons in 2015. She also has co-authored the book Strategic Risk Management: New Tools of Competitive Advantage in an Uncertain Age published by Berrett-Koehler in 2020 and over 60 articles on topics of Enterprise Risk Management, Board Risk Governance and Strategic Risk Management.
