Emily Kornegay has served as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer for Budget at HUD since November of 2017 where she leads the formulation, appropriations negotiations, and execution of HUD’s $61 annual appropriated budget as well as performance management and strategic planning. Prior to this role she spent over four years at the Treasury Department in the Office of Domestic Finance, where she worked as the Director of Operations and as a Senior Advisor for Fiscal Policy. She joined Treasury after nine years at OMB, first as an examiner in the Labor Branch, then as the Appropriations Advisor in the Office of Legislative Affairs, and finally in Performance and Personnel Policy. She originally hails from Michigan and likes to spend time hiking with her husband and nine-year-old twins.
