Debra Williams is the Senior ERM Advisor in the Strategic Planning & Performance Staff Office at the Department of Justice. Under the Director’s leadership, she manages the Department’s ERM Program using a comprehensive risk framework and methodology to guide Departmental components in the identification and management of enterprise risk that may have a significant impact on the performance and achieve of the Department’s strategic objectives and strategies. Additionally, she leads special ERM projects such as educational risk training, expanding risk automation tools, and activities that focus on promoting a risk aware culture. Prior to this role, she co-led the administration of individual component’s ERM programs by developing policy, guidance documents, reports, assessment tools, and templates that establishes the risk management framework to promote enterprise risk management. Her 26 years of federal experience include in addition to ERM, legal analysis and writing, internal control analysis, and organizational management.
