Mr. Abawi serves as a Director at the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury) Office of Recovery Programs (ORP). Mr. Abawi supports a broad portfolio of multi-billion-dollar Treasury programs, including, the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, and the grants office for the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Trust Fund. Previously, Mr. Abawi was a Program Director supporting Treasury’s implementation and wind down of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Mr. Abawi holds a Master of Science in Finance from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from George Mason University.
