Nancy Eyl practices law at the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce. Previously, she served as the Deputy General Counsel and chief risk officer at the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), a federal-state grant-giving agency. Nancy started her legal career within the federal Office of Inspector General (OIG) community, including at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security OIG and the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR).
Nancy serves on the Executive Committee of the federal government’s General Counsel Exchange. She is Co-Chair of the Small Agency Council General Counsel forum, and President of the William B. Bryant Inn of Court. Nancy holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and an M.A. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Indiana University-Bloomington.
Before her legal career, Nancy taught Russian and German at Tulane University.
