Joseph (Jody) Myers is DFC’s Chief Risk Officer. In that role, he leads the agency’s risk management as outlined in the BUILD Act and OMB Circular A-123. He focuses on enhancing DFC’s positive risk culture by identifying and addressing risks and maximizing opportunities from all perspectives.
Mr. Myers has over three decades of experience in law, government, financial services, international affairs, and risk management. Prior to joining DFC, he worked for more than eight years at the Western Union Company, including three years as CRO. Prior to his tenure at Western Union, Mr. Myers served as assistant general counsel of the International Monetary Fund, and he has also held senior positions with the National Security Council staff, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
Mr. Myers started his career in private law practice and has worked at several law firms. He is a graduate of Yale College and Vanderbilt University Law School and is married with two grown children.
