Workshop Day 2
October 25, 2019
9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Eastern)
This workshop is offered by RIMS and is provided here for informational purposes. AFERM is not a sponsor of this event.
This preparatory workshop helps prepare risk professionals to obtain the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional for Federal Government (RIMS-CRMP-FED) credential. As ERM continues to grow in importance in the federal government, and builds upon the Office of Management and Budget’s 2016 update of Circular No. A-123, it becomes critical that federal professionals are knowledgeable so that they can provide value to their organizations. When you earn the RIMS-CRMP-FED, you’ll have all the benefits of a RIMS-CRMP such as recognition and a competitive advantage, with a specialization in the public sector.*
The course will review the background and benefits of the credential as well as the core competencies of a risk professional. Case studies, hands-on exercises and an action planner are used throughout the workshop to prepare you to take the RIMS-CRMP-FED examination, which is being offered at the 2019 AFERM ERM Summit on October 30. The course also covers strategies for studying, test taking and utilizing testing centers.
