Debbie Poff is an IRS Senior Risk Advisor supporting the Chief Risk Officer with the Enterprise Risk Management Program. As a Senior Risk Advisor, she serves as an ambassador/champion for risk management, encouraging a safe environment supportive of open risk discussions and supports the ongoing implementation of the ERM program. She works closely with the business unit risk liaisons in facilitating the annual enterprise risk assessment and leading a range of ERM related activities.
Debbie joined the IRS in 2015 as a Senior Risk Advisor. Prior to the IRS, Debbie’s background includes positions with Office of Personnel Management, the Federal Aviation Administration and Department of the Army. Debbie began her Federal service in 1983 at Fort Belvoir, VA as a Clerk-Typist and after completing an Army Intern Program in ADP moved through the ranks in various staff positions from the Installation level to the Headquarters. Over the years, Debbie gained experience in development and management of large, complex enterprise level programs; formulating policy, developing short- and long-term plans and providing guidance relative to design and implementation of those programs.
