The Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM) announced its newly elected Board of Directors for 2021-2022. The announcement was made at the opening reception of the 2021 AFERM Summit on October 25th, 2021. This year’s Summit assembled over 430 Federal ERM professionals from across the public and private sector.
The 2021-2022 AFERM Board of Directors includes:
- President: Daniella Datskovska, Director, Guidehouse
- President-Elect: Marianne Roth, Chief Risk Officer, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
- Past-President: Nicole Puri, Chief Risk Officer, Bureau of the Fiscal Service
- Secretary: Thomas Holland, Director, Guidehouse
- Treasurer: Doug Webster
- VP of Outreach and Advancement: Curtis McNeil, Risk Management Officer, Architect of the Capitol
- VP of Finance: Valerie Lubrano Quinones, Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst, Putnam Investments
- VP of Operations: Soumya Chakraverty, Management Consultant, RiskPro Solutions, LLC
AFERM is the only organization that exclusively promotes and supports ERM in the Federal sector. “During the past year, the value of risk praxis became even more evident as every organization, public and private, continued to navigate uncertainties and opportunities presented by transition to a new administration in the United States, sustainability challenges associated with the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain disruptions and other global and local events,” said new AFERM President Daniella Datskovska. “Risk and enterprise risk management often became a “go to” tool for evidence based defensible decision making. This provides an unprecedented platform for all ERM and risk management practitioners to advance their influence and impact on the organizations we serve. AFERM is excited to have its mission, aspirations and a team of experienced, dedicated and enthused volunteers to help further advance the profession by providing knowledge and professional development opportunities to its members and sponsors.”
The AFERM Board of Directors will continue the professional organization’s mission to advance the practice of ERM in the U.S. Federal government through relevant thought leadership, strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, and collaboration.
