AFERM is looking for nominations to join the Board! Please consider joining us in one of these positions for a three-year term:
- President-Elect — The President-Elect becomes the President in Year two and the Past President in Year three.

Note: The current AFERM President-Elect leads a selection committee to nominate new Board members, which will be approved by the full Board. The new Board Members will start their terms on December 1, 2023.

Committee Chair Volunteer Opportunities!
AFERM is also looking for Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs! Please consider joining us in one of these positions:
- Audit Committee Chair — The Audit Committee is charged with oversight of all material aspects of AFERM’s financial reporting, internal control, risk management and audit functions. The Committee consists of three members that have sufficient financial expertise to understand and evaluate AFERM’s financial transactions and internal control procedures.
- Communications Committee Chair — The Communications Committee publishes the quarterly AFERM newsletter, coordinates the promotion of AFERM at the annual ERM Summit and at partner conferences, and helps to facilitate the dissemination of useful and timely communications via the website, social media accounts, email, and other channels.
- Knowledge Capital Committee Chair — The Knowledge Capital Committee oversees the planning, development and delivery of intellectual capital assets of AFERM for its members.
- Planning Committee Co-Chair — The Planning Committee, in consultation and coordination with the Board, facilitates the development of AFERM’s strategic plan, helps drive implementation of agreed-upon strategic initiatives, and monitors and reports on progress of those initiatives for the Board.
- Volunteer Committee Co-Chair — The Volunteer Committee is responsible for identifying, placing and recognizing volunteers through a collaborative process at AFERM, which is an all-volunteer run organization.
- Data Analytics Community of Practice (DACoP) Co-Chair —A collaborative community of public sector ERM practitioners focused on advanced and applied data analytics supporting the evolution and maturity of their respective agency ERM programs.
