AFERM is continuing the tradition of attracting leaders from all across the ERM community to share insights, experiences, and ideas at its annual Summit. The first three plenary session speakers for the November 7-8, 2016 event have just been announced.
- Dave Mader, the Controller of the United States from the Office of Management & Budget (OMB), will kick-off the first day of the Summit with a perspective on the new ERM requirements for Executive Branch agencies from the update to OMB Circular A-123, and will also touch on how future interactions with OMB are expected to take place as part of these new requirements.
- Brian Philbin, who was the first Chief Risk Officer of the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA), and currently serves as the Assistant Commissioner and Chief Audit Executive at the CRA, will share lessons learned from the stand-up and maturation of this award-winning public sector ERM program.
- Robert Hirth, the Chairman of the Committee of the Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO), will return to the Summit with insights into the first update in more than a decade to the COSO ERM Integrated Framework, the draft of which was released for public comment in July 2016.
